Dianne J Leong is a visual artist who believes in the power of creative expression to make a difference. Explore her artwork and see how she brings her unique perspective to life. My Profile
Dianne is currently a professional artist, and adult literacy instructor, after having a long career in public education, post-secondary and community education. She is a painter and printmaker, subsequently, working in oil, pan pastel, linocut, woodcut and various media. Her work is exhibited in Artpoint Gallery and Studios Society group shows, held at cSpace and in juried exhibitions in Vancouver at the Federation of Canadian Artists, Federation Gallery. Her work is held in private collections (since 1994).
Dianne holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Calgary, majoring in painting and printmaking. She also holds a Bachelor of Education after degree, and a Master of Education from the University of Calgary.
She has worked for galleries and museums in London, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta. She is currently an EXHIBITING MEMBER with the Federation of Canadian Artists (National & Calgary chapters). She has been a member of Alberta Printmakers Society and previously, the Garden Art Party Society of Alberta and the Calgary Chapter of the FCA, before establishing a long career as a certificated teacher (K-12, post-secondary and community education). She currently holds leadership roles in non-profit arts and culture.
Dianne has a studio at ARTPOINT Gallery and Studios, is a Past President and currently is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors.
